By late 2000, word got to us that Big City Radio was going to flip formats to Spanish at WXXY. I went looking for a parachute and found one, landing across town at the brand new 94.7 The Zone. I didn’t stay very long, as I had a great opportunity to return to 92.7 and launch a morning show. My friend Drew Walker (now middays at US99.5) visited during my five months in nights and took these photos. Check out his website at www.DJHeadlines.com!
Focus, Danielson.
God, I really miss that bell!

Look! It’s a very early version of jeffreyt.com on the monitor in front of me!
I’m editing a phone call on the Shortcut.
I know those songs!
Wanna see Aerosmith in concert? Too late! This was 2001.
I look thrilled. It was a long 5 months 😉
Doesn’t that logo look like laundry detergent?
This was Kevin Matthews’ studio. He had a LOT of tapes!!!
Quite a few screens as well.
If you look closely, you’ll see pictures of Amy Davis, formerly of US99. We were dating at the time.
