After an “amicable parting” at Q102, I did some weekend work at Star 104.5 in Philly and totally went crazy at 95.1 WAYV in Atlantic City. These were both just part-time. The next FULL-TIME gig was in the birthplace of radio…Pittsburgh. I had such high hopes for B94, but it was a letdown. I don’t believe anyone or anything was solely to blame — it just wasn’t the place for me. Fortunately, I DID make some good friends in the Steel City. Here are some pics from my very short stay in Pittsbush.
Most-likely being an ass to some dumb kid on the phone.
Taking a break from being an ass to some dumb kid on the phone.
Looking like some dumb kid on the phone.
Sweet Pea, my producer! (Her real name was Diana.)
The CBS receptionist (and my HOT girlfriend), Laura.
My competition, Erin O’Malley from 96.1 The River. (She’s now at Mix 104.1 in Boston.)
No real pics of me on the website, just this dumb caricature.
Looking like a freak at the “B94th Of July” (l-r: Jonny Hartwell, Ryan Mill, Billie Myers, Freakboy, David Edgar)
Didn’t make too much at B94, needed a side job as a pimp!
Ahh, my partners-in-crime! Fellow night jock Bob Delmont from Y108. (He’s middays at WPOC/Baltimore now.)
And Randy Brooks from 100.7 The Point! (He went to Milwaukee and now I’ve lost track.)
Melanie Taylor watched in horror as I quit and walked out live on the air. I’ll never forget her face!
Aww, one for the XMAS card. Me & Sweet Pea on the B94 deck, overlooking Pittsburgh from high atop Mt. Washington!
Too many to name here, but these were all my radio friends in Pittsburgh!
B94 voiceover goddess Jennifer Vaughn.
My friend Brian Davis and I with one of the best in the biz…Joel Denver of www.AllAccess.com.
After 18 years on top of Mt. Washington, B94 moved to brand new studios in suburban Greentree. This was days before we invaded the joint!
